Lake Champlain Bridge at Crown Point Implosion

Today is the day they implode the closed bridge at Crown Point. There is supposed to be a live web cast. I can't find the exact link yet, but here is info.

sad to see it go, but would rather have a bridge that is usable.

Crazy. Wife and I were just up in Burlington for our anniversary in October and went over that bridge. I think it closed within a week or two after that.

I hope the one they put in its place is somewhat pretty and not just a slab of concrete.

Actually, it's both. The drawing they showed has very nice lines and looks like it's that prefab/engineered/reinforced concrete.

The implosion has been postponed till Wednesday.
