I think it is safe o say end of Jan. given any other warm spells but mid january seems just too early to have enough natural snow to open up all the trails(Given any big storms).
I voted mid Jan as well, given that the AccuWeather 15 day forecast for Lake Placid indicates that the high temperature will be below freezing for that entire period. Given two solid weeks of snow-making weather, you would think there should be NO problem at all getting everything open (except Upper Cloudspin) ... if they finish Lookout Mtn this weekend, at least the Wilmington Trail, they should be able to move to Skyward on Monday ... a week of snowmaking there and that should be good to go ... that leaves another week for Upper Northway and Parkway and the other few miscellaneous trails that still need to be done ... Am I over-simplifying this?
