Gore is piling up the snow down there. I go down to NC on Wed. and you have about 10 more inches on the ground than we do up here. Gonna ask for a guided tour one of these days if some one would ablige

This weekend

I would love to head up, but I think my wife would divorce me if I left her with my parents for the weekend. I probably won't make it again until January. Enjoy the snow everyone and have a great holiday.

I had a great weekend last weekend. Tahawus is my new favorite trail. They left it ungroomed and the powder was awesome for boarding. It was like floating on air. Must have done that run 10 or 15 times between Saturday and Sunday.

just got back from the mountain, fine light fluff falling steady there and here in schroon, probably about an inch or two on the ground but its still early. 11 degrees so no worry for NCP

It is freakin DUMPING here. (North River 2000').

Hard for me to tell how much is from this storm and last but at least 3 inches of new. I'll post some snowdepth pics here and others on my blog.

Going out for an xcski. More details later.

Still Snowin. I'm guessin at least 8-10 so far.

i'm with you harv, don't have a camera, but at midnight i recorded an official measurement in the driveway of 9.75 inches and still falling lightly.

I estimated 11 inches at midnight and 3 more inches (of pure fluff) since then.

I'm going with 14. Still barely snowing.

Looking at the latest radar it seems things could get a lil' dicey for the holiday/weekend.

Any locals care to fill us in with on on the spot report?

2" of fluff fell last night here in lake George area. right now it's 22* and no precip. heavy overcast with lots of gifts and treats in the forecast. ho ho ho

Seems to be clearing out now. Hopefully temps stay cool for the next weather event as well

here in schroon we're at 26 degrees with flurries... a light layer on the ground.... lets hope these temps hold.
