Gore Mountain Weather 08/09 Part 1

I gotta say I think the NWS forecast I just posted is way optimistic based on the forecast temps. We shall see. Let's hope I'm wrong.

I know this is not all stoke. I think I'm cranky because what's his name posted his TR in my weather thread.

Is it honeslty that big of a deal to you? My bad, but I think you're over reacting a bit...
I deleted it for ya though.

Two of the Albany weathermen (6 and 13) have Gore just within the area that's supposed to get 6-12 inches :D

Yeah but I have found the local weather guys are not as accurate as the national ones NWS,Weather Channel, Accuweather,etc.. I guess it is a wait and see type of storm.

Megtron you are the man.

The big news is some major BULLET DODGING. NO MENTION OF NCP for North Creek after 10am this morning THRU SATURDAY:

Today: Rain and snow showers, becoming all snow after 10am. High near 38. Breezy, with a east wind between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

The snow had slowed down an hour ago, but it is picking up again :D The consistency is light mash taters. Very good base snow.

Lucky dog

You lucky dog. Wish I could sneak out on my lunch break and get in a few runs. Thanks for the update - the radar on accuweather didn't look to promising.

What's it look like for trails open this weekend? I'm going to be up for Sat & Sun.

Here's the close up:

:D i was afraid it wasnt going to be so hot this weekend. between mega's post and that, im a bunchhh more optomistic.
any idea how much new snow they got/are expecting?

I don't have any real "facts" but I'm up here at 2000' and on our porch since last Sunday was about 2 inches that is pretty crunchy. Still I think it would groom up nicely.

Sunday am should be sweet if the clipper comes through.

I'll finally be making a appearance Friday - possibly Thursday. Looks like they'll be getting a few inches nightly as the week progresses.
